LAKE POWELL, Utah
and the Grand Canyon

Summer Vacation July, 2005

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This was our most secluded overnight spot, located in Face Canyon at Lake Powell.  That is our 48 foot Twin Anchors house boat beached on the left.  Tamra and I toted the three boys and their friends, Cody Enlick, Cullen Pabody, and Taylor Crow with us.  It was a desert climate with temperatures around 100 degrees F, but the water was a refreshing 83 degrees.

We brought the Malibu and the Jet Ski with us and towed them behind.  We got a little exploring and hiking in.

The Grand Canyon was... well, electrifying.  As Cody's Dad said "that's a really big hole, huh."

 

AND THEN... It was off to Colorado for a little road bike tour ->
